Description

Each room of this exceptional apartment represents a different French experience, complemented by firplaces in the living and master bed rooms, 2 flat screen televisions and wireless DSL. It truly is a charming, private and peaceful home in one of the most convenient and exclusive locations in Paris.

This two bedroom two bathrooms plus separate guest WC,is located on one of the most famous streets of Paris in the 7th arrondissement
only two blocks from the Seine at the Pont Royal. There, uniquely framed by well manicured hedges, stand the imposing tall black
entrance doors to the building on the Rue De Verneuil.

You pass through the doors into the secret world of wealthy Parisian home life. Walking past the door of the Gardienne, then directly
across the large stately courtyard landscaped with trees, shrubs and flowers.

You arrive on the second floor by elevator or stairs where yours is the only apartment. Open the red door and are in the large reception
foyer during the time of Louis XV with faux columns, marble and gilded moldings. A modern console by noted artist and furniture designer
Christian Astuguevielle seems somehow appropriate along with the signed original Persian rug and chair. A coat closet completes the reception.

You move through the door on the left into 1930s Paris entering the fireplaced living room and library. A Baguesse chandelier, gilded mirror over the fireplace, sofa and chairs covered in Pierre Frey and Jim Thompson fabrics and a Persian rug. The period glass coffee table designed by Ramsay, a noted French designer from the 1930s, and floor to ceiling embroidered drapes made from venetian rubelli fabric on the two sets of floor to ceiling windows overlooking the courtyard complete the picture. A flat screen TV is present.

Past the library bookshelves through a door, you enter a short mirrored hallway to the guest bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The hall way assures privacy and quiet from activities in the living room. Japanoire fabric is upholstered to the walls and Japanese "Shojii screens" serve as doors to the large closets. Twin single beds which can also become a double queensize bed with head boards and antique bed table are present. The spacious white marble bathroom includes a towel warmer, marble shower and elegant mirrored vanity.

Starting again back at the reception foyer now move right to the separate dining room decorated in country French with off white barn board walls, antique sconces, upholstered chairs, country dining table and sideboard.

From the dining room you walk a short distance down the 30 foot corridor with full length Persian carpet to the modern kitchen on the left. All the appliances have panels that match the cabinets including the washer, dryer, dish washer, oven, microwave and refrigerator/ freezer. The countertops are marble. One wall of the kitchen is exposed brick and there is a small marble table for two to enjoy your morning cafe and croissant. The lighting fixtures are antique brioche pans that add to the intimacy of this French experience. Finally the central music system that supplies music to every room is located in the kitchen.

Enter down the hall way and walk to the very private master bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom brings you back to the Louis XV era with its beamed ceiling, fireplace and Toile de Jouy floor to ceiling velvet drapes. On the wall to wall carpet are three beautiful Persian rugs. Matching antique bed tables are on either side of the queen size bed with headboard . Two empire chairs and antique chest of drawers finish this warm comfotable room which includes a sitting area to read and relax by the fireplace. An additional flat screen television is present.
The master bathroom is red marble with beamed ceiling, elegant mirrored vanity and towel warmer. There is a full size soaking tub including multiple jet or European type shower as well , for either shower or bath, music included. At the end of the hall is the separate guest bathroom.
